Joko Riang – Joko’s Indonesian Kitchen – Sunday, Noon

Chef Joko Riang,

If you're ready to break out of your same-old shell, venture to Joko’s Indonesian Kitchen. Spice-savorers will salivate over the nasi padang -- rendang (beef cooked in coconut milk and spices), anchovies in green chili, spicy collard curry, and egg belado. However, Seattle's only rijsttafel is the menu item not to be missed. Personally prepared by chef-owner Joko Riang, this traditional family-style meal consists of several entrées served with rice. Emerge from your cocoon of routine, and transform from a creature of habit into a creature of culinary adventure -- you (and your taste buds) will be glad you did.

Joko, you are joke! If you want to make money and grow your nasty business, then yelling at your customers over a gift certificate is NOT the way to do so. I have never in my entire life been so rudely treated in a restaurant. You could have handle this situation in a more friendly manner. In fact, we were still willing to dine without using the gift certificate but when you STORMED off into the kitchen, we decided you didn't want our business. Bad move. Consumers Beware!
