From backyard beekeeping to apartment gardening, Northwesterners can see all the latest in urban farming and homesteading at “Yard to Table,” a 6,000 square foot educational community garden, at the Seattle Home & Garden Show. A collaborative effort of more than two dozen of the region’s independent leaders in the Yard to Table movement (who are building this small farm on site to address the region’s burgeoning pandemic-related interest in gardening), “Yard to Table” features raised vegetable and flower beds, live small farm animals (including sheep, goats and baby chicks), a chicken coop and a greenhouse, as well as rotating presentations ranging from goat yoga to growing your own produce at home.
