It was at Zinfandel, the pioneering concept in Chicago, that Thomas and Deborah met and began forging their lifelong passion for food and family. They moved to L.A. to work in motion picture catering as well as a stint catering for private jets at the 14 regional airports in and around Los Angeles County. Deborah moved on to become the Executive Chef at Maggiano’s Little Italy in Woodland Hills. Thomas moved on to become a Store Manager for Starbucks.

Shortly after the birth of their second child, they decided it was time to return home to be close to Deborah’s family in the Seattle area. They settled in West Seattle where they have lived since 2005. Deborah continued her tenure with Maggiano’s by opening the Lincoln Square location in Bellevue. The couple saw the opportunity to open Avalon as the perfect way to pay back the community of West Seattle and the surrounding region for offering a highly satisfying way of life.

Avalon – Rustic Pacific Northwest Fare & Bar

Avalon is a casual fine-dining restaurant and lounge located in West Seattle. The menu’s focus is on local Pacific Northwest fare with a touch of Mediterranean flavor.
