"Check out" local tool lending trends through REconomy’s tool library demo area at the show

When you begin your next D.I.Y. project and realize you need a tool, but don’t want to purchase it for one time or limited use, REconomy may offer a solution. This local non-profit is attracting national attention and a growing number of members who can “check out” more than 11,000 at tool libraries in NE Seattle and Shoreline. It is a terrific way to save money, space and the environment.

Tool lending is rapidly expanding, and in addition to REconomy’ s locations there are 11 other “tool libraries” in the Seattle-Tacoma area. REconomy comes to the show sharing its mission promoting sustainability and a sharing community through access to a variety of tools including saws, drills, mowers, pressure washers – even catering and party supplies. It also offers a variety of classes covering home improvements, energy-saving solutions, gardening and other useful topics.

Add this new attraction to your “go-to” list of things to see at the show. The REconomy activity area will include “how-to” demonstrations, information on classes, memberships and tool donation opportunities. Come and spin the "Wheel of Tools" to win a free hand tool and a discount coupon for reused building materials.
