Sneak Preview Three Seattle Home Show 2: Scandinavian Homes

They say that everything old is new again, and that certainly can be said for one of the newer exhibitors, Scandinavian Homes Inc.   This local design and build company is showcasing its Scandinavian contemporary homes built with old world techniques from Europe that have been used for more than 2000 years.  Construction doesn’t require nails, plastic or drywall or insulation, with solid square logs one foot thick that both sound proof and insulate the home (up to minus 40 degrees).   Be sure to come down to see for yourself October 6-8!

Scandinavian design encourages bringing the outdoors inside with expansive windows, natural materials, earthy colors, saunas and cozy fireplaces. Ergonomically correct furniture is a mainstay and white furniture is typical in the part of the world where dark winters are lightened up by white washed furnishings. Scandinavian homes are the prominent style now.
